The curse of Cult Labs strikes again as I've just taken the plunge based on the reviews I've read and ordered the Region A US Blu-ray release of Starry Eyes! I figured it wasn't worth buying the cheaper DVD because I know if I like it (a distinct probability based on the opinions of people whose taste in film I largely agree with) I'll end up wanting to upgrade to Blu-ray release anyway! I won't have it in time to watch it and possibly add it to my list for this week, but when I do watch it, I could post a review and, if applicable, update my list.

Maybe it's because I remember it as nightmare than anything else. In a way, it's the closest to what my ideal Silent Hill film would be like.

I saw Eskimo Nell for the first time earlier this year (I know I'm predictable, but it's not something I would have seen if it hadn't been released by 88 Films!). I half expected to hate it because I am far from a fan of 'Carry on' and 'Adventures of a' films, so it was more than a surprise that I absolutely loved it! I Want Candy, on the other hand, I thought was puerile rubbish, but it's something I would happily rewatch if given the opportunity.

I like the fact it's pretty much pouring scorn on the idea of sheltered film makers looking for 'reality' and not at all being prepared for it. Also it's a major influence on the Coen brothers and Barton Fink was an almost ran.

Films about Filmmaking Rather than only include 10, I thought I would post my entire long list which, perhaps subconsciously influenced by Douglas Adams, is the same length as the answer to the meaning of life, the universe and everything. I could spend all week tinkering with the order and still not be happy, so I'm just going to post it and maybe come back to it later.
Honourable mentions to The Producers and All about My Mother, which I would love to include if the category included stage plays as well as films.
