Go for Zombie 108 or Bone Sickness from Frankie's list, I think you will like them. BS is zero budget mayhem filmed in someone's house and garden and plays like Fulci's greatest hits via bucket bongs and too much German splatter while Z108 veers off into full on scuzz that could only be bettered with totally gratuitous hardcore inserts!

I love versus. Was working in Blockbuster when it came in and I decided to give it a whirl as it was on the Tartan asia extreme label. It really knocked my socks off. I think the director has made some great horror including midnight meat train and no one lives.

Anyone remember the Japanese zombie/ganster film JUNK? I seem to recall it played like Reservoir Dogs crossed with the arse end of Italian horror and Dawn of the Dead.

You should also check out Wild Zero for more Japanese zombie fun though this has the garage punk band Guitar Wolf saving the earth with fuzzed up rock n roll!

Seconded - two mad Jap films that are definitely worth checking out.

Ditto Bio Zombie.
