It says a great deal about the film that your summary made me realise I have seen it, and loathed every moment of Project X. The events depicted aren't as bad as those in Cannibal Holocaust, but the message (such that it is) is worse.

I'm very much in agreeance with most on here about Project X.

However, I gave it a 7/10 when I originally saw it because it's pretty well made and fascinating in how extremely out of hand everything gets, and can also be a pretty good cautionary tale in why you dont do open invite (The guy who inspired this film is an Australian legend for all the wrong reasons, but is also the sole reason everyone always does strict closed invites)

But as others have said, it throws the whole thing away but being absolutely despicable in it's final resulting message, and having some truly scummy characters portrayed as heroes. If the annoying smug disgusting fat kid got what he deserved and the film didnt end with the main kid getting praised and getting the girl etc., it could have honestly deserved the 7 I gave it. But on recollection, the message it sends across is truly 1/10

Also I thought Chronicle was boring and derivative and the only thing it had going for it was killing the obnoxious Americanized Akira remake. I'm all for a live action Akira, even American made, but Neo New York is not on

Having a film in which most of the main characters are loathsome, misogynistic and vacuous is a bad starting point.

I hope at least once in the life of this forum, that ****er, Nordy, doesn't find an excuse for everyone to put ****ing Cannibal Holocaust in their ****ing weekly list. Or that ****er will rue the day!

I must have some booze. I demand to have some booze!

You've certainly got enough of it as evidenced in recent photographs!

You're a bad influence sir!

That photo was recycled from last year in The What Makes You Happy? thread.

Did they make you happy then?

I assume the cupboard is a little emptier now - or have you stocked up?

It's changed it's contents a little. A couple more single malts added, a few Grants and Jack Daniels less, but a few more blends in addition.

I'm thinking of emptying the cupboard to help come up with a top ten this week.

You could just set a camera rolling and start demolishing your supplies and create your own found footage film.
