999 times out pf a thousand when watching tv series on disc i always use episode select and not 'play all' and that one time i don't as happened tonight with disc three of Xena Warrior Princess series two disc three (I thought i'd make a brew as one episode ended and the next began) and i end up watching A Solstice Carol. A bloomin' Christmas episode.

And it was lovely. A Xenaverse take on A Christmas Carol with so much more thrown in as well such as a character called Sentacles (It's not hard to come up with something Christmassy from that name is it?), a toy maker no less - one of his puppets looked rather familiar - and a donkey saved by Gabrielle who she gives to a young couple with a baby they meet on the road in the final scene.

It was all predictable admittedly but so much fun. I'm kinda annoyed with myself for carrying on with this once the episode title came up at the end of the opening credits but it's one i'll return to at Christmases to come i think.
