The premise of Apocalypse is great, but it's badly directed and the editing is shocking, it's like that one Iron Maiden concert that Steve Harris directed and there is no shot longer than 2 seconds for the entire thing

Some cracking scenes though, like Alice running down the side of the building shooting two guns and that scene where she is running around the round glass building and all the windows are exploding around her.

Loads of action in the streets with rampaging hordes. Whats not to like? As for it being dull? Never!
It's not dull as such, just really stupid. Awful script, awful direction, wooden characters and I felt Milla was a little wasted too. It's no wonder Paul W.S. Anderson shied away from the director's credit on this one.

I've seen 4 of the Resident Evil live action films and I thought that the first one was the best. I don't like them enough to own a copy. The Japanese cgi films are pretty decent, I own those on blu-ray. The first one (Resident Evil Degeneration) is superior and I would recommend checking it out. It's only one pound on dvd from Amazon.

I was very disappointed with Ghostbusters remake too. Really thought that would be good and very funny but I was just bored

I quite liked that. Thought the roof set piece was great. Spine shuddering stuff.
