That's great selection of titles from Eureka! that I don't own (I have Hausu), but have put the others on my wish list as things to buy when my pile of unwatched discs reduces somewhat. I'll have an awful lot more free time when I have finished the complete Battlestar Galactica, all 60 hours of it! I also have two seasons of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and all five hours of Red Cliff to watch one I'm not watching review discs and writing reviews.

I know I'll succumb to the urge to buy so that 'pending pile' will just never shrink as I buy them as quickly as I watch them!

The worst thing (or perhaps a good thing for my wallet ) is that I'm about to go on a buying ban! Everything is going into storage in a couple of months until at least January next year so the wife is telling me not to buy anything more to keep our moving weight as low as possible. Fair enough. Then when we get back to the UK I've got to buy a new TV as well when we seal our own place so it'll be a good while before I can watch a BD anyway.

It couldn't come at a worse time because I have to say there's more releases in the next 6 months that I'm really interested in than possibly ever before. I'm going to have to buy a few and get them delivered in the UK just so my catch-up list isn't horrendous by then!

The only exception I'm allowed is Lost because we both have to have our annual season marathon as soon as it comes out but that'll be on dvd.

Good luck, blob - I tried that once (lasted about 2 weeks! ).

I do impose a strict allowance on myself each month for DVD purchases that I tend to pretty much stick to 100% of the time. This prevents me from over-spending, but requires a lot of self-control sometimes.

PARANOIAC is downright beautiful! Eureka did a smash up job on it. Their blu-ray of M is really incredible too -- in fact, it includes the English language version which Criterion does not. Maybe that'll sway ya, Blob?

That'll do it.

It'll also console me for not being able to buy the Criterion cheap at the Barnes and Noble sale along with the others I wanted, haha!

I've seen the contrast arguments and have no idea which is correct and it seems to be 50/50 anyway. i also prefer the cover art to the Eureka one.

Realistically, the only way I'll be able to do it is to put a hammer to my router and cut my legs off. i'm a sucker for a good deal too. Every day I keep getting drawn back to the HMV site as Fist Of Legend is there for £7.99 right now. I've managed to hold off for 4 days so far..

My Psycho shipped today.

Unfortunately, it looks like the release of Vengeance is Mine has been delayed (at least from Amazon anyway). They e-mailed me this morning to say that the estimated arrival date would now be around 17th August...

My copy of Psycho arrived this morning so don't think you'll need any more than one guess as to what I'll be watching tonight! This is a disc are probably watch three times in a row: once with the DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track, once with the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track and then again with the new commentary by Hitchcock expert Stephen Rebello.

I just read a review of it. I don't think I've ever been so jealous in my life over a dvd/blu-ray, haha! Hitchcock is my all-time favourite director and I've also been lucky enough to see Psycho on the big screen. I want it!

Funny you should say that because in about 2 weeks I'm going to be watching The Birds and Psycho double bill on the big screen as part of the Arundel Festival. I can't wait as it's outside overlooking a lake too, should be a gooden.

Sounds amazing -- I am extremely jealous!
