The House by the Cemetery may be a lot of things, but 'a quintessential Giallo' certainly isn't one of them! As the first in Fulci's Gates of Hell trilogy, it's like saying The Beyond and City of the Living Dead are gialli, a term best applied to things like Don't Torture a Duckling, Murder Rock and New York Ripper.

There are idiots that think every Italian horror is giallo though.

Rollin on Blu-Ray?! Hatchet for the Honeymoon?! I'm definitely going to be keeping my eyes on Kino Lorber throughout 2012! Let's hope the covers are better than the UK Redemption titles, though! |

Strangely, that's one Bava film I haven't seen but, as I love those I have seen, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. Also, the title makes it hard to resist!

I wonder if they'll stretch to stuff like KILLER'S MOON and SCHIZO? It'll be interesting to see if Kino's arty followers will embrace it all. Bet they wouldn't have touched some of those Redemption covers..
