Those covers are lovely.
They are! Like I said before, they may tip me over the edge into buying 2 copies so I can use the original art as well. We'll see though. Can't wait to see the new art for They Live and Phantasm 2.

Actually, looking at the specs for Halloween 2 and the consistency of style for the artwork I might double-dip on that one. Will also be after They Live as well. Not fussed about The Funhouse; the Arrow one is sufficient for me.

I'll double dip on 2 for the features. The other I got for Terror in the Aisles. 3 is a must have. The terror train cover is gorgeous. I need all of those. Shout Factory! Is a great company.

According to Halloweenmovies.com's Facebook page, Anchor Bay are going to be putting out BD special editions of Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 with new special features.

That usually happens to me as well. It does take the piss sometimes.

As I don't own either on DVD, they will have immediate 'must buy' status and I'll have no problems justify the expenditure to myself. Great news.
Criterion7 likes this.

This is one of my favorite horror franchises. Glad I waited to get these. Looks like I'll be able to get 2,3,4,5 in some pretty sweet editions. Now if only I can get a blu ray of 6 that has both versions of the film my Halloween collection would be complete.

Understandable, I guess. But then why are all Universal titles released by themselves region-free? I bet they don't consider other territories when they do that. It's okay for them, but not for others?

Well one thing we can never accuse the majors of is not being money-orientated.

It is still strange that a company who fully backed a region free future in HD DVD reverts back to tired old ways. I suppose the majority of their self-released titles they hold worldwide rights too but there are exceptions.

Then of course you get the truly bizarre situation where they release Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas region free then force Criterion to lock it when they license it.
