It's all very well to roll your eyes but some of us are really struggling financially at the moment. £50 is a fair bit of money when you've got a household to run, bills to pay, food to buy etc. Especially with prices on the bare necessities rising to almost unmanageable heights. It's lean times. I can treat myself to a BD or two a month and that's about it at present. So as much as I'd love to join the multi-region club, there are other considerations I have to look at first.

I'm with you there, though I did pick up the Toshbia BDX3200KB recently but have yet to unlock it, the main reason being if I do so I'll increase my spending. Oddly enough the only reason I finally upgraded to Blu ray was because my son wanted the "Star Wars" films and all six of them along with the blu ray player only cost me about £30 more than buying the OOP dvds of the films. The little git has only watched them once and has gone back to playing "Lego Star Wars" instead. I can't blame him to be honest.

I'll no doubt go multi at some point, but right now money's tight and it's not getting any easier. And whenever I do have some cash to spend, I look at something like the Tosh that can be made region-free....then end up buying some movies instead.

I've found the cost of a multi-region player goes well beyond the initial £50 for the player itself (Damn you Criterion!)

Well, this sucks. I just have to wait for a region B/free release then.
