I'm going to wait for Big Lebowski. I still have the Universal HD DVD and the transfer wasn't too great so I'll check reviews to see if it's been redone because it definitely needs it.

My only copy is the 1999 PolyGram Filmed Entertainment release which came in a jewel case (I'm so glad they stopped making those!) so I'll definitely make the jump to HD as The Big Lebowski is one of my favourite films I've avoided buying any of the special editions as I was waiting for a release like this.

Seriously? What the f**k is wrong with marketing departments nowadays? What was wrong with the poster? Paramount and Universal have been messing up bigtime lately with their BD covers.

****ing A Stephen.
WTF is the SCARFACE artwork all about?

It looks like a frigging X BOX game.

Don't they realise that is one of the most iconic posters ever?

Exactly! The BD for Beverly Hills Cop has not too bad artwork, but there was the iconic artwork of Murphy on the hood of his car, the hideous 48HRS artwork and the crappy Blues Brothers dvd and BD art.

BHC artwork was also iconic.

SCARFACE has been one of the most anticipated releases since the dawn of BD and they hit us with artwork like this?

Here's what I'd like to do to the marketing head at Universal....
'What's wrong with my Scarface design?'

They should have used the original artwork for the Scarface steelbook.

Whilst I'm not over-enamoured with the artwork for the Scarface Steelbook, it's not a crime like the one for The Firm and, besides, mine will be safely tucked away inside a cigar box!
