Even though Subspecies was recently released in the US as part of a triple feature dvd with parts 2 and 3 by Echo Bridge Emtertainment, Charles Band has announced that the 1st film will be released on dvd and BD on July 25th from Fullmoon Direct. Wish they had used the original artwork though.

Haven't heard of the film before but it from what I've read it looks like a top vampire movie!

THE NAME OF THE ROSE directed by Jean-Jaques Annaud is coming out august 2nd in USA! This really is a great film set in the 14th century in a Benedictine monastery in which Sean Connery plays a monk sleuth! Its kinda like a more realistic version of Cadfael I'm praying its region free! Artwork could have been better, but could have been worse...

I am tempted just to buy NOES 1 -3 on BD and not wasting who knows how much on the UK boxset of all 7 films.

Same here. I don't see the point in spending a fortune for films I don't rate and will only watch because I own them.

I could be wrong but aren't NOES 2 & 3 going to be on the same disk?

EDIT: cursory google shows they're not they're just released in the same set. I seem to remember reading it was on one disk in a Bloody-Disgusting announcement or something when the release was first mooted.
