for reviews purposes i sat down and watched Twlight: Breaking Dawn Pt 1 tonight. Absolute infantile, insulting and down right dull filmmaking of the highest order. do not watch this film it is utter crap and i feel like i should put a bullet into my just to get the image out of my mind.

I thought it was the better film of the 4 so far. Don't know what that says about my taste or what that says about how bad the others must be.

Then again I am known as the guy who likes everything, it's very very rare for me to ever not like or hate a film. I must have a very tolerable mind

I saw Blooded last night.

In October 2005, five young people were kidnapped in the Highlands of Scotland. Stripped and abandoned in the far corners of the wilderness, they were forced into a deadly game where the hunters became the hunted. Their ordeal was filmed by an extreme animal rights group as a warning to others: if you hunt...you're fair game. Combining dramatic reconstruction and compelling interviews with the survivors, BLOODED finally tells the full story behind one of the most extreme internet virals of modern times.

I really do recommend this film for people who want something a little bit different from a horror film.

During the first ten minutes i was a bit iffy with it, but by fifteen minutes i was hooked. Its superbly filmed on the Isle of Mull and shows just how much quality low budget film making can have.

For myself this is up there with Kill List as a modern horror film that takes a different approach.

I also saw The Ugly Truth.

I bought this comedy starring Katherine Heigl and Gerrard Butler a while ago because it was cheap and put off watching it till now.

It really is much better than it has any right to be with several laugh out moments and excellent crude dialogue. It helps that all the protagonists are adults rather than teens in my opinion.

It isn't just a soppy rom-com, imagine 30 Rock but far far racier and both Heigl and Butler do a decent turn.

I am an admirer of the writing team behind this, and Katharine Heigl is great...


...but I cannot STAND Gerard Butler! It has put me off seeing it.
