hey mr mumford, definately check it out it's really impressive. maybe the best shot italian film i've seen and obviously that's saying something. did you watch any of the arrow academy films yet? i think my favourites are the tin drum, the conformist and of course the mighty spirits of the dead (really cant get over toby dammit, i wish fellini had made more horror films!)
but all the arrow academy films are brilliant and fascinating. does anyone know if they have more releases on the way?

I've seen Bicycle Thieves, Les Diaboliques, Il Générale Della Rovere and Spirits of the Dead (technically not Academy) and have thoroughly enjoyed them all.
Someone posted on blu-ray.com that Arrow have 9 french titles in the pipeline for their Academy range, think it was a Facebook post.

Just watched Urban Explorers.....
Hmmm, what to say. Not good, but not appalling. Certainly took its time to get going. Probably won't watch again, so this may be up for trade soon.
Pluses were the villains fantastic performance, and the cinematography. That's about it. 2 stars.

Ah ha, mine says Arrow Film. They must have reissued it with a new slipbox. Any chance of a picture?

while we're on the subject, there is a few scenes that jutter quite annoyingly during toby dammit, it's during the scene just before he drives off in the ferrari, and always seems to happen when terrance stamp is onscreen has anyone else encountered this? is it just my copy? inherant in the print? or am i imagining things?

Not a bad film some good kills and some not so good I love how the first two kills are so over acted like in a comedy where it takes them an age to just shut up and die.

Hugo.
I have never felt so much love for a film before.
Although it won't be replacing caligula as my favourite film of all time, this is damn near close. *****

It wasn't good im afraid, the first hour is a mess and then the rest of the film is about the history of cinema which is really good. But the message in the film is we shouldn't forget where film came from, to preserve the originality, production and love put into a film in a movie in a 3D CGI extravaganza from a man who is so intune with the history of film. It's kind of hypocritical of Scorsese. I found the plot to be a bit dull to...

boy lives by himself in a railway station and does a nice thing for an old man.
That's the plot. Scorsese is way above this kind of film making. All though i will say that it's the best example of 3D moviemaking i've seen even if i am anti-3D.
