Macabre (Lamberto Bava, 1980) Mario jr's 1st solo effort. At last i've found a more annoying brat than "bob" !!
This has the lot, necrophillia, familial homicide, awful cooking....Recommended!! Though not as much fun as Monster Shark

My god I haven't had so much fun watching a movie since a double feature of Kentucky Fried Movie and Evil Dead with my best friend!

I'll really need to pick this up, and I'm watching Braindead right now!!

Finally got around to seeing Cabin In The Woods last night. I can't begin to tell you how incredible it is. Easily one of the most original horror films in years! There's not much I can say without spoiling it, but I will say, GO SEE IT NOW! It's just fantastic!

just watched the optimum blu-ray of night of the living dead.

Good transfer and certainly holds up in HD, but I doubt i'll be selling off my millenium edition anytime soon.

Just for balance, I will post a contrary review.

I disliked it. A movie that thinks it's alot cleverer than it actually is, an over reliance on CGI that left me cold, and references to other movies that made me roll my eyes. There's a few fun moments, but I'm not one for 'post-modern' ain't we cool type films. I didn't think it was original. Also, I wouldnt even class it as a horror film.

I'm in the minority on this, in fact I'm probably standing alone on an Island. But, horses for courses etc...

Get out and leave your Cult Labs membership at the door

I loved it although I can see why it would might grate if you're not into that sort of deconstructive film. Even so there's a lot to like I thought. The scene with the wolf's head was insanely creepy and tense and the film had well rounded and believable characters who you cared about! The first death shocked me as I realised how much I was enjoying just watching these characters hang out, something sorely lacking in these sort of films.
