Bugger, forgot about Master and Commander. An excellent film in my book.

The only other Bettany film i can think of which hasn't already been mentioned is Wimbledon, which was fine for what it was.

I quite liked LEGION actually, rather stupid and ill concieved fun.

Priest was a terrible interpretation of a good manga. Did anyone else notice the plot for PRIEST was totally nicked from THE SEARCHERS?!

Me, I watched REAL STEEL. Certainly lands itself firmly in the catagory of films I expected to hate but actually enjoyed. Like priest nicking the plot for the searchers as a plot-template, REAL STEEL nicks the plot of the origional rocky, so much so I could predict everything that was going to happen. Nontheless its a film with a lot of goofy charm and unlike the dreadful transformers movies it was actually well shot and contained some decent acting and sciptwriting. Not a major classic but good almost old-fashioned entertainment.

Captain America: Hugo Weaving as Red Skull. Freaking, awsome! B+

The Forbbiden Zone: Ah, still one of my all time favourites. Utterly dullaly but utterly dalectable! Surprisingly good looking in colour also. A

For a Few Dollers More: A

Good times!

Gangster No. 1 ! He was amazing playing the young Malcolm McDowell. Almost made you wish for a Clockwork Orange remake (almost).

He was wonderfully punchable in Dogville . . .

That reminds me; If anyone is interested, THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN is on the horror channel later tonight.

Might watch it as I haven't seen it for ages.

Over the last 2 days I have watched:

Piranha 3DD - It was no where near as fun as the first but still had its moments of fun. if you got time to spare and want to switch off your brain for 80 mins then check it out!

Apartment 138 - This was a english language flick from the producers of REC. its a typical haunted house shakey cam movie. It was average nothing special really.

Project X - This was meant to be a comedy but was not funny at all. There were a few funny scenes but it was not that great of a movie. I enjoyed it but it was quite un-realistic. The portrial of what high skool kids would do to get "popular" was quite stupid.

The Road - This new Phillipino horror flick was quite interesting. It is based on 3 storys that are linked by a road and strange events that happen along it. The first story was pretty good with some very creepy moments, the second story was the weakest as it was more "torture porn" but without the gore. There was not anything creepy or interesting in this angle but you needed to know the story to connect it to the final story which was the best of the 3. It was very eerie and creepy and had some very good performances. Check it out if you like your Asian horror
