I'm no fan of the sequel, though the original is great.I watched FRIGHT NIGHT (1985) which still holds up well.

Laid to Rest

Run-of-the-mill slasher. Quite violent.

What did you think of it Angel? I thought it was pretty good until the end, where it just seemed to be over so quickly - a bit rushed IMO.

Laid to rest was very good, I have a copy spare for anyone who may require it, I just done the weekly post office run but I go again next sat.

The 3 leads were pretty good including Kevin Gage, even though I despised him in CHAOS, he was quite watchable here, and the film moves along at a speedy pace. But overall I still found it quite average, the ending as you mention was also a bit of a flop. The scene in the convenient store was probably the best part for me.

Yeah, Scar gave me a bit of a headache too.

Plus I see we have another fan of Rossa Venezia!

I received a nice parcel from Movie Mars the other day which contained:

- The Beyond: Grindhouse Release
- Black Magic: Shaw Bros.
- Blue Sunshine: Synapse Limited Special Edition
- Cat in the Brain: Grindhouse Release

and I also got MYA's Legend of Blood Castle from HKFlix... and I have to admit to watching all of these over the past couple of days!

I'd been meaning to get Blue Sunshine for a while now, but was undecided on which version to get between the AWE vs. Synapse releases... I chose the Synapse in the end due to the bonus disc of the Soundtrack - even though the AWE version would certainly have had a better print of the film.
