The Tortured (2010) dvd pretty good with a twist that can be seen a mile off. The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) bluray a classic that still looks great Columbiana (2011) enjoyable hokum Jess Franco Gold Collection (8 disc uncut version) |

Krautrock_The_Rebirth_of_Germany.jpg Recorded this DOC off BBC4 Friday night its a great watch. Not really a fan of the music of some of the bands in the DOC but i respect what they did and where they came from all pioneers without and doubt. Also it had Kraftwerk in it and i cant get enough of them recently.

DEMONS 2 - I 'm sure I don't have anything particularly new to say about this one, apart from that, subjectively, I really liked it compared with the last time I saw, which must be nigh on 15 years ago. It struck me as weirder and more nonsensical than I remembered, and those two factors alone are pretty much my criteria for viewing these days. I like it when film just dissolves into pure imagery and just f*cks off narrative like the rigid, mean bastard it is - this happens a few times here ie when slime pours randomly from lead demon Sally's head as she screams in slow motion for no reason. It looks kind of ecstatic. Also, being a hater of all organised sports and fitness regimes from aerobics to the olympics (I spit on its grave), I liked all the eighties gym stuff, with hilarious bald instructor badass stereotype guy who looks like he might be a heroic organiser before randomly getting his bollocks crushed. All great trash.

I'm not a massive fan of the Olympics either, but I'm proud that Team GB's first medal was won by someone from our fine county, Otley to be precise
