The sequel Return Of The Evil Dead is even better.

Ooooh that's a toughie Vince. I can't pick! Those 2 are definetly the best of the 4.

Don't be ashamed BE! Thats a brilliant film too IMO. And even Ghost Galleon is excellent (much better than people say) too.

Best undead films ever made? Certainly come close.

Has anybody seen any of de Ossorio's other work? If not, I'd recommend The Loreley's Grasp and Night of the Sorcerers |

Watched a pile of stuff today. First up was 3 Cortes - an anthology of horror shorts (Cheers bitchslicer!) Next I watched Malefique - a terrific French Horror about black magic. Finally, I've just finished a Jean Rollin / Brigitte Lahaie double bill with Grapes of Death and Night of the Hunted, which are two of my favourite Rollin films... so it's been a very productive Saturday! |

Loved the hospital scenes with the 'zombie attacks' also really liked how the first story was shot, especially the drops of blood spattering on the camera lense during the 'amputation' scenes. Great stuff. Talking of shorts, I ordered Small Gauge Trauma today, which is a collection of shorts from the 10 year anniversary of the Fantasia Film Festival in 2006. I dunno if you've come across them before, but I am really looking forward to them arriving. Last edited by bizarre_eye@Cult Labs; 15th August 2009 at 07:58 PM. |
