This is the end.

Another wet day up here, not much to do. THE HOWLING blu came through the door but I needed to get out the house a little. Checked the cinema listings and saw this was on at the weird time of 11:45?!

No bugger wants to go to the cinema right before lunch. Great I thought, so headed down there. I was right as well, the cinema was all but empty and I had the screen to myself. As the film started I thought there was something wrong, then it hit me.. the bloody lights were still on. Its not the first time this has happened and I wandered out to find a member of staff. I'm not sure if its just a local thing but our VUE seems intent on hiring teens/early twenties members of staff that seem to lack any passion for the job. I've applied to work there on several occasions and got nowhere.

Once the lights were out I settled back to watch the film....

I should say right now I enjoyed PINEAPPLE EXPRESS, SUPERBAD, 30 Minutes or less and YOUR HIGHNESS and i'm fully aware of what I was in for..

I really enjoyed it.

Its stupid, self indulgent and crude, the humour often aims for the lowest common denominator and i'm going to guarentee that the film will probably generate a lot of hate. I certainly wouldent reccomend it to anyone who disliked the films I mentioned above. Thing is I thoght it was good. It had some genuinely sick laughs, no one was taking themselves too seriously and Danny Mcrbride became a cannibal. Channing Tatum has a brilliant cameo thats geuinely funny (too me)

Still I am being defensive about liking it.

This afternoon's viewing consisted of these two (BTW, my post in the Upcoming UK BD thread saying I preferred the original Nosferatu because it doesn't star a kiddy fiddler was meant as a joke, Herzog's film is still brilliant, regardless of the personal life of it's star)

And, as I'm currently re-reading a biography on Kurdt Kobain I watched this too

Watched Emergency Squad last night. Thought it was ok, but I prefer Milian playing the nasty bastards. His generic revenge-driven cop got pretty tiresome, and the villains on the run weren't that interesting. Not bad, just a bit average. I did like the opening heist though, where the public watched the baddies gun down the cops thinking it was for a film being made . . .

"The Incredible Petrified World" (1957)
The incredibly petrified acting more like! not even John Carradine could lift this dull, insipid effort from the depths it had plumbed!

Synopsis
A diving bell accident, four missing explorers, caves, mad man, rescue.

B camera accidentaly left running, four wooden chair legs missing, a lot of rocks, product of incest, thank Darwin that's finished!

From their 50 movie Sci Fi pack. 1 down 49 to go, what I put myself through...!

Watched Scream last night. Still a damn good slasher film, loved the bit where Courtney Cox gots punched in the face.
