Wizard of the lost kingdom

sword and sorcery film that's so good because of how unintentional funny and awful it is.A childhood favourite that is just as much fun now as when I first saw it. Here's hoping for a blu ray or even a decent DVD release .
The pinnacle of it so bad it's good. 8/10

It's alive

More Larry Cohen. It's has a very stupid and unfrightening premise (killer baby) some how it actually works and is disturbing and creepy in places. 7.5/10

about to watch antropophagus what's it like, also what are flesh for Frankenstein and blood for Dracula like?

Edit

Hope antropophagus picks up soon it's a bit slow and boring up till now

LAKE PLACID: THE FINAL CHAPTER. Celebrity gimp and part time son-in-law to Joan Collins aka Reg from "The Bill", Joe from "Eastenders" and Freddy Krueger battle shit looking CGI crocs in super fast paced trash mayhem filled with blood, boobs and trees. Hugely enjoyable.

Apologies for the brief one sentence review of THE SECT.

There was a banging at the door from the local cocaine fiend (I shit yee not) who I encountered on the way to the car boot sale Sunday morning. Apparently he's taken out a £2000 loan and spent it on 80% pure coke. Apparently in my younger crazier days i'd partied with him and his mates in one of the local clubs. (could be true, I was a bit nuts in my 20's) Well in spite of telling him that my idea of excitement these days is a walk in the country and a swift pint the lad has gone all deputy winston and is looking for a party with his coke. So I posted what I was typing quickly and hid upstairs.

Needless to say I wanted to say it was a shame no one in the UK or the states has picked up THE SECT for distribution, its a very underrated film with lots of brilliant surreal touches.

Also just watched an Aussie film called Fortress. Apparently lots of genre fans have been asking Adam wingard and Simon Barett if you're next was based on this. Well watching it I can say probably not. The only thing similar is that the criminals who kidnap the teacher and her pupils wear animal masks. Its well worth picking Fortress up however as its a suspenseful thriller that really entertained me.

No problem.

He went away and not been back yet. I think I know where he lives as there's a house nearby thats had music on all night. The police may receive an anonymous tip off if he comes back.

If he seems unpredictable/intimidating/threatening, that's probably the best course of action. In any case, if it can't be traced back to you, getting a major drug dealer of the streets isn't a bad thing.

Well he's not threatening, he genuinely seems to want to party. He's not a dealer per se either as from the way he was talking it sounds like all that coke is for personal use. He's just someone I really do not want in my life at any level as he's clearly got problems which will end up dragging down whoever is in his sphere of influence when the shit finally hits the fan. I'm thinking an arrest might be in his own interest as much as anyone elses.

Lets put it this way, he started going on about scarface as if it was some kind of aspirational movie. That tells you all you need to know really.

If he is arrested and charged, he will probably have to go into rehab (if he isn't jailed) so, as you say, it could be the best thing for him and those around him.

As for Scarface, it's a bit like a football supporter thinking Green Street is an aspirational movie – definitely not good!
