VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED on Blu from Germany is another lovely transfer.
Film ain't so hot,but it's a passable timewaster.

Not sure if you would like them but they are highly effective machines for making you jump. The first one is an exercise in nothingness, quite literally nothing happens until the closing frames yet somehow I was glued to the TV just watching people potter around their house. The second one is much more structured with a great use of space and depth which had me constantly scanning the screen to search for the next thing to happen. I've not seen the others but from what I've read they aren't so good.

I liked the novelty of the first one and found it reasonably effective, but the endless footage of the pool cleaner, which probably took up one third of the film running time, made the second one excruciatingly boring!

I have the Optimum one, but it's been so long since I saw it that I'm really in no position to comment on the AV quality – sorry.

Watched the brilliant WALL STREET from '87 and directed by Oliver Stone. The two Sheen's were spot on, but it's Michael Douglas who steals the show. Loved seeing Hal Holbrook and James Karen also. Two fine actors. Anyway, Wall Street is a top notch movie, probably my favourite from Mr. Stone.
