I haven't seen that version of Hairspray, but the original is well worth a watch – you can't beat a good John Waters film!

It's not John Waters but it is a fun, uplifting film.

I'm talking about the 1988 one with Ricki Lake, which is really good. I've heard the 2007 remake is well watching and has been a film I've been meaning to check out for several years.

It was the remake I was referring to, I should have said so.

Cult labs will always be the best film forum for the very reason that our local gore hounds can genuinely enjoy a trash musical. I personally can't be in the same room as anything that has singing to progress or elaborate a storyline, however i don't judge folks for watching them.

Oh crap, I like charlie and the chocolate factory? Oh crap, the Wicker Man? For the love of god i also like Team America! and South Park the Movie! . . .

I think i had better give the sound of music a chance! bring on Nazi's and Nuns.

Gag can we still be friends?

Yesterday I saw two movies that couldn't be less related to each other: Labyrinth & Goodbye Uncle Tom.
From a musical with puppets to a fictional mondo, but I enjoyed both
