Hmm! Not necessarily.

Might as well give an insight as to how the mind of Decemberdike works.

If i buy something as soon as it hit's the shelves then it's there to be watched straight away. No point saving it until December as it will probably have dropped in price by then so in effect i would have wasted money. Once a release has been out a while they often drop to around a fiver or appear in two-fer offers. Those are okay to save.

However i'm happy to pay for a region one release and save it until December as they don't really change in price throughout the year.

So basically if i buy this now i'll watch it this weekend.

American Ninja

Michael Dudikoff plays a loner American G.I serving in the Philippines. Found by a Japanese WWII veteran and raised, he's one of the only westerners raised and trained in the Art of the Ninja. These skills are put to the test when a convoy is attacked by rebels, fighting back his skills are noticed by a team of ninja and he ends up on a collision course with the areas local Bond villain and his drug deals.
The film is daft but epitomises the Cannon sense of fun, with plenty of action, ninjas ect, and just as you think you know where you are then someone vanishes and a ninja fires a laser beam. Considering its age it still holds up and 88's transfer looks great.

American ninja 2

Moving the action to south Africa, our titular hero now has to face off against another leering villain. This one making genetically enhanced ninjas. His buddy Steve James turns up as well, stealing every scene he's in.
Once again its totally entertaining and manages to pass its 90 minutes quickly.

The boy Slowly and I watched them both at the weekend. I don't t think he noticed when I put them on and that Power Rangers had ended.

I'm sure he did. Power Rangers probably had better dialogue.

Catch 22 there i'm afraid.

I wanted Crimson Peak with the slip case and didn't want to risk it not having one later in the year.

It does seem like the perfect Christmas horror.
