Watched Children of Men last night, i must say the first time i saw it i kinda felt a bit Meh about it, on second viewing that changed to oh my ****ing good god, this movie is freaking awesome, a truely fantastic film, expertly shot with long takes and very little cutting...

I watched The Wizard of Gore, the original and the remake, last night. The original was superb and I couldn't stop laughing at the ending. The guy playing Montag was superb - I think the moustache and sideburns gave him a bit of an edge. The remake wasn't very good, although it had a lot of nudity and Crispin Glover was pretty good as Montag. Was Jeffrey Combs the guy with the long hair and beard? I was waiting the whole movie to see him, then towards the end I realised that he must have been the guy with the long hair and beard.

I enjoyed the original too. The remake was dire & pointless.

Watching Near Dark tonight. Havn't seen it before so looking forward to it. Will either watch Beyond Re-animator or Repo Man afterwards. Gotta mention Cannibal Apocalypse, which I watched yesterday, fantastic movie. Great camera work & cinematography around Atlanta, I'll have to look into some of Margheriti's other work, I hear he's done some gialli...

Some of Margheriti's gialli are excellent. I'd definitely recommend Schoolgirl Killer / Naked You Die for starters; a pretty decent giallo about a killer stalking girls at a boarding school.

Seven Death's in the Cat's Eye is also definitely worth a watch (if not only for the fact it is the only gialli that I've come across so far featuring a bizarre gorilla... ). Margheriti certainly brings a lot of gothic flair to his gialli, and if this is something you enjoy then I recommend you also check out Long Hair of Death - one of my favourites of his.

Amen! The remake is one of the worst remakes I've EVER seen...EVER.

Watched The Exterminator just now and luved every second of it! As I was watching it I also started to think that you could actually call the film a superhero movie, I mean it's got all the conventions in there - mind you it is much much better than any superhero movie I've seen.

If you're lying...

I'll be back!

Mausoleum
Mad Max (my girlfriend had never seen it! so, I used this as an excuse to upgrade to a DVD. I can't believe I had to manually select the original audio track!)
Vanishing Point (I try to watch this every three months or so...)

Will get around to reviewing them when I'm not so busy!
