Whilst the first two are direct to dvd fodder with odd moments of merit, the latter three are all excellent films.

Dazed and Confused is a classic from Richard Linklater sporting one hell of a 70's rock soundtrack as well as a top notch script and cast and is a film i go back to time and time again.

Bruno is Sasha Baron Cohen at his best (or worst) featuring a thoroughly despicable character in Austrian fashion icon Bruno and some of the most Un-PC moments i can recall, whilst Bring it On is an excellent college comedy with two brilliant leads in Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku and is both funny and a fine sports movie at the same time.
I've not seen those direct to DVD ones, I may have seen a clip from the American Pie on t'internet.

I love the other three though! I think everyone knows how much I loved Dazed and Confused, I've had plenty of signatures and avatars from the film over the years! Bring it On was the first BluRay I imported from America

Yes, we've discussed the brilliance of Dazed and Confused over the years.

So those Bring it On sequels... Are they any good? There are at least five sequels that i know of.

I realise the casts won't be as strong and doubt the likes of Dunst, Dushku , Gabrielle Union and Claire Kramer will appear in the sequels but if they can inherit that first films sense of tension to proceedings then they should be more than watchable.

I've not seen them to be honest, but they have both been added to Netflix this very week, must be serendipity, so I will watch them over the next couple of weeks I'm not expecting much but they keep getting made so they can't be totally shit

The second sequel has Hayden Panettiere and Beyonce's sister (Solange) in it!

On many levels it's not as good as the first but for some reason I enjoyed it more , maybe it's the OTT violence and gore. This time a predator has come to the concrete jungle of L.A. Who starts hunting gang members who are killing each other. Danny Glover is on the case who thinks there is something more going on than a gang war. His suspicious are aroused even more when crazy Garry Busey arrives on the scene and takes over. 9.7/10

Now watching Friday the 13th a new beginning.

Creature (1985)
A crew for an American space corporation is sent to titan to investigate the mysterious disappearance of another crew. Only to be trapped themselves and forced to protect themselves from an ancient alien.
More 80s sci fi schlock and another alien ripoff. The only difference between this and galaxy of terror is that there ain't no maggot rape, although klaus kinski makes an appearance. Shame there isn't much in terms of grisly deaths.

Well that was a surprise, only saw it once years ago and really didn't enjoy it, but low and behold i really enjoyed it this time, was nicely fast paced with some good kills and twists and had to have the highest body count of a Friday the 13th film. 7.5/10

Batman finds out he has a son whos out for revenge of the murder of his grandpa Ra's al Ghul by deathstroke, the boy as well as having a chip on his shoulder is a bit of psycho. 7/10
