But when Rocky falls into a hole, Apollo helps Rocky lift his head and gets his edge back for a rematch with Clubber.

This is one of the best Rocky films in the series as it jumps in to seeing the fights in the opening credits and no slow moment montage and drag things out and we see two sets of training with Mickey and then in the gym where Apollo trained. Carl Weathers returns not as a enemy but as a Allie to Rocky and helps him get his edge back. Mr. T. stars as the ruthless Clubber who thinks the champ is a wimp and sets out to be the next champ.

The acting is getting better from all even the boxing looks more real and intense as it should be even with the camera work in the ring with the second match does make you feel you are in the ring and Paulie developing a good sense of humour when he is sober, and who didn't cry when Mickey died, Burgess Meredith made that character his own. Hearing the song Eye of the tiger does bring back memories of this film every time i hear it.

Rocky IV. 1985.

Rocky still the champ is asked to do a exhibition match with a Russian gold medallist, Apollo steps in and is killed, Rocky blames himself for his friend's death and decides he wants revenge. Accompanied by Paulie and Apollo's trainer Duke, they travel to Russia for a battle.

As like the previous film this jumps right in and doesn't become a slow burner, it may not be a classic but probably still watched more than the other Rocky films, there were rumours that Carl and Dolph didn't get along and threw real punches and Carl threatening to quit, but made their match entertaining although Apollo dies. Paulie develops some human emotions that makes you appreciate him then takes back the comment which makes it funny on how he says it. This one does has a decent soundtrack and James Brown singing a song in Apollo's intro to the fight with Drago.

I'm going to be controversial here but I thought I and II were rather boring but found III and IV to be 2 brilliant and enjoyable films. V, I found to be under-rated and Rocky Balboa to be a enjoyable throwback. The 2 Creed movies I thought were more like Rocky I and II but were better and I loved Creed 2 with Lundgren's return.

I'm sure that some of those fights would have been stopped by the Referee however.

I've only seen 1 and 4. Found the first one very, very boring, and the 4th a whole heap of glorious 80s fun.

Ready Or Not

A woman marries into a family and has to go along with a old family tradition of playing a game. After selecting Hide And Seek, she hides but soon realizes that she is being hunted after it's discovered that a pact was made. It's good with some really good black humor however it's not quite the classic it was close to being.

The Bank Job

Jason Statham is part of a crew that rob a Bank which contains provocative photos of VIP's which are used to blackmail them. They are then chased all over London by Police, British Secret Services and Gangsters. I love this film, it is so enjoyable.

Rocky V. 1990.

After his fight with Drago, Rocky returns home only to find out he is broke, he intends to fight again but medical tests show he has suffered slight brain damage. He goes back to his old neighbourhood and open's Mickey's old gym. Young boxer feels he has what Rocky had and seeks training only to be corrupted by a boxing promoter, in which he turns the young boxer against Rocky.

This one took me a while...or a few watches to warm up to, it does have that tender moment seeing Mickey in flashback sequences that has the father/son theme they both had especially in the street fight and seeing Mickey encouraging Rocky to get up cos he didn't hear no bell. Talia Shire and Burt Young return as Adrian and Paulie who have the love/hate relationship and Paulie coming out with the laughs as usual. Richard Gant plays promoter George W. Duke who was inspired by Don King who seems to think he can sue people. Stallone's son Sage plays Rocky jr who gets torn between family and training and learns to get his father's respect back.

Rocky Balboa. 2006.

Rocky living a peaceful life owning a restaurant with his late wife's name above the door and Paulie still working in the meat factory. When a computer simulation sport shows up with Rocky facing the latest champ Mason Dixon who looses the match, Dixon wants a exhibition 10 round match with Rocky to see who will win.

This is the second time i have seen this one as i was never keen on it, but now watched it i have changed my view on it, Stallone does deliver on this and it was entertaining, funny and a bit more drama between Rocky and Paulie who have never gave up on each other and still care for each other. Rocky is still grieving after Adrian's death and Paulie thinks of the times he was cruel to her and has to live with the memories. This isn't a slow burner film as it goes straight to the plot but unfortunately there is some scenes been deleted that does show more emotions between the characters that make you feel more sympathetic for them.

The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996)

This flawed, bizarrely cast (Although Fairuza Balk is forever watchable) yet fun movie takes on a whole new dimension when my best pal Milly who was sleeping next to me begins dreaming during the last half hour producing yelps, growls and even guttural roars. Forget 5:1 surround sound. That was the real deal.

I've now seen this at the cinema, on vhs and now on dvd and always find it very enjoyable. Sorry haters.

INVISIBLE INVADERS (1959)

Invisible aliens from the moon plan to destroy the Earth unless we surrender.
They inhabit the bodies of the dead to go about their scheming on Earth..
Good movie with some creepy scenes involving the dead bodies walking around together.

Hercules and the underworld

Hercules is happily settled down with a family but is called out of semi retirement too help a village , once there he discovers a portal to the underworld causing problems , with the responsibility of a family Herc thinks it's not worth the risk, but as he about to leave he goes and thanks to Hera and throws himself into the hole. Not long after and overcome with grief and with a little nudge from Hera Hercs wife jumps to her death.

Once in the underworld Herc discovers that Cerberus is running loose and makes a deal with Hades to retrieve the pooch in exchange for his wife. 7/10

Had to fast forward most of this and it still dragged that acting apart Linnea Quigley was dreadful and she was the only decent thing in this turkey. Watched more convincing episodes of Scooby Doo. 4/10

Creed. 2015.

Adonis Johnson son of Apollo Creed travels from L.A. to Philadelphia to find training to be a boxer and turns to Rocky for it and help to step out of his father's shadow and start a legacy of his own.

This is the first time seeing this i have held off watching this for ages and went into it with a open mind and enjoyed it, okay it may not be a classic. Michael B. Jordan plays a good part as Adonis and Sly Stallone returns as Rocky who doesn't even steal the limelight but still shines as the Italian Stallion. You can tell this wasn't directed by Stallone as there wasn't much close up of the main event fight in the ring but still decent fight sequence, the joys of watching two people knock ten bells out of each other.
