The Cage A favorite from my Teen years where Lou Ferrigno saves Reb Brown in Vietnam however whilst doing so gets shot in the head and ends up with the mind on a Child. Brown ends up looking after him while they run a bar. However Ferrigno is duped by a couple of down on their luck low level Gangsters into participating in brutal underground Cage Fights in order to pay of their debts. Brown ends up looking for him in Chinatown where Tongs are holding the fights. This is still a really good film where the fights are actually violent and the script does had layers of depth into the main characters. It does have this soppy song during the opening credits which did make me think that I had the wrong film. I WOULD LIKE A UK DVD/BLU-RAY RELEASE PLEASE (I was able to get an import of The Cage II) Outlaw Force A man based in the Country has his Wife raped and murdered and his young Daughter kidnapped by a gang. He travels to L.A. in order to get her back before she's sold to a child porn ring and get revenge. A low budget version of Death Wish, which Video Shops would have 1 copy in it's lowest rental tier and would be placed strategically next to the popular new releases so that the case would attract customers looking for an alternative. The acting and script wasn't good but can't say I wasn't entertained. Enemy Territory Gary Frank is a out of luck Insurance Salesman who has to go into a run down Tower Block in order to get some papers signed. However he encounters the wrath of The Gang (Lead by Tony Todd) who hunt him and the people who help including Ray Parker. Jr. and Jean Michael Vincent. I remember seeing both versions of trailers on previous EIV rentals and wanted to see it so badly as it looked so exciting however neither of my 2 Video Shops had it until (I'm assuming) Video Magic probably did a trade with another store and got it in, when I had it rented, I was not disappointed, it was so thrilling. I got my Aunt to tape it when it was on Sky Movies back in the day (And watched it many times) It was as good today as it was back then, it just flew by. Tony Todd was amazingly terrifying in this film. I WILL BE VERY ECSTATIC IF THIS GOT ANNOUNCED FOR A UK RELEASE |

Every now and again a film comes along that’s Different and make a refreshing change From the same old same old etc, Cadaver where people are living in a war torn poverty country With no hope and future, suddenly one night a man comes along and promises them food and and a show to help them eat and take away their problems for one night And entertain them, they are given mask and told those in mask are the watchers and rest are entertainers and everything they see is part of the show, Where such strange going on come to the point they know don’t know what’s fake or real or who even part of the act, it mainly focuses on one women husband and child, the child goes missing the couple separated , it’s a dark gothic horror fantasy and it draws you in and keeps you wondering what the hell is going on, recommended. |

Bullies A family moves to a small town which is terrorized by one family. Pushed to the absolute limit they eventually fight back. Released by Sheer Entertainment on Video and even though it has the usual clichés, this is a delight to watch, the bad guys were completely reprehensible, you wanted them to see get their comeuppance. This wouldn't be out of place during one of 88 Films block announcements. The one Trailer on this Video was for the Movie, Star Slammer, believe me this needs to be seen to be believe. The phase Z Movie comes to mind and The Voice Over Guy got it right when he said "What A Travesty" at the end. Action Jackson Carl Weathers is in the titular role as a tough cop who goes after his biggest enemy. Sharon Stone has a role also. Not a bad movie but I can't help wondering if this was meant to be the start of a franchise. Must admit the scenes where the mugger keeps on fainting upon sight of Jackson is funny. Jackals A ex-cop witnesses a Sheriff committing Murder and tries to prove it. Again not a bad movie but nothing that I haven't seen before. |

III smoking barrels, Wow What a absolutely brilliant piece of film making, this is the type of film that becomes a masterpiece in its own rights, The cinematography of the film is beautiful and stunning, with A haunting melody Soundtrack, by far one of the best films I’ve seen in quite some time. 3 stories all set in different stages of life In India, inspired by true stories it’s highlighting the real political issue of India, Each story is plain and simple and low on dialogue and more to do with the story telling, but each one is a story involving guns. The first story is about a child, Who holds a man hostage so she escape from a rebel camp, 2nd story is about a mother love for her waste of space son who becomes a drug peddler, and his journey into the drug world. The third is about a man a alcoholic man who wife has had enough of him, and how he ends up becoming involved In the trade of elephant killing for the tusks. An absolutely masterpiece which is a stunning delight to watch in every aspect, Reading on wikipedia it also has won a few awards. |
