What A Carve Up. 1961. When Ernie's eccentric uncle passes away, he is to join the rest of the family to his home and stay the night in order to claim the inheritance. Carry on does the old 40s dark house horror movies with Sid James and Kenneth Connor as the two best friends Sid and Ernie who are in for a long night. Sid does get the best lines as the non scared person while Kenneth seems to be scared of his own shadow in a great comical way. Donald Pleasaence plays the out of sorts family solicitor and Michael Gough as the creepy looking and talking butler. Shirley Eaton plays the distant cousin and always running about in a something that's close to nothing. MV5BM2UxMzRiMGYtMDA5MS00NmZmLTkwM2MtNjBlODQwMmVkNGI3XkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTk0MjQ3Nzk@._V1_.jpg

Death Line . 1972. When people start disappearing in the subway a detective takes things seriously and discovers a cannibal survivor from a cave in that happened in 1900s. Donald Pleasence plays the detective with a smart wit and full of sarcasm comments that can bring a laugh or two. Christopher Lee plays the MI5 agent but doesn't have much screen time but certainly entertaining to see him in this. The film is low budget but does deliver well with the dark atmosphere and suspense that is freatly built up towards the end. images (3).jpg
