![]() Fresh Daisy Edgar Jones starts dating Sebastian Stan but after he drugs her. She finds out that he has a purpose for her. Definitely a bit slow as it gets going but once it gets going it is rather entertaining. The spoiler is what Stan's character is in to. SPOILER: Anora A Stripper meets the Son of a Russian Crime Family after they quickly get married, his Parents send some Armenian Heavies to get the marriage annulled. After he runs away, they have to go out searching for him. Every once in a while, a Film appears out of nowhere and surprises you and this is one of those Films. It was so entertaining and well worth watching especially the Armenian Heavies who were so funny. It's not as heavy as the Trailer suggests it is. |

![]() images (1).jpg RAISE THE TITANIC (1980) A rare element called Byzanium, taken from Russia and which could be used in a nuclear weapon, is tracked to crates which sank with The Titanic in 1912.. A huge box office failure at the time for ITC Entertainment. This though, should not put any viewers off. The raising of The Titanic, when it comes later in the film is the big money shot. It looks fantastic and with John Barry's excellent sweeping score over the top is quite emotional. A hats off to John Richardson and the huge model of The Titanic. As said before, the raising of the ship comes later in the movie but the lead up to finding the ship and the exploration under the sea is never boring, at least for me anyway. |

![]() MOVCF2355__97781.jpg MONSTER FROM THE OCEAN FLOOR (1954) Anne Kimball starts hearing legends and stories about a sea monster that lives in a cove. After a diving suit is recovered with no body inside, she decides to investigate along with a marine biologist with a small submarine.. First movie produced by Roger Corman. The monster itself is only seen fleetingly in a night time scene and then at the end of the movie. It does actually look like the monster on the poster! The monster was actually a puppet, shot 'dry' and then a blurred water image was put over the top. Enjoyable movie with some good underwater shots, sometimes quite creepy with the wads of seaweed moving around and a pretty cool one man submarine. |

![]() Death Warrant. 1990. Jean Claude plays Mountie Policeman Louis, sent undercover in a corrupt prison where prisoners and jailers are being killed off and comes face to face with serial killer Patrick Kilpatrick. I was never a fan of this one, could be i saw In Hell before i got to see this and thought the two were just about the same but re-watched it, it's good with the story line and fight scenes. Corruption does feel a bit like Lock UP in a way but Cynthia Gibbs acting is a bit wooden as the liaison officer and fake wife of the new prisoner who is getting alot of info for his new bosses. I'm sure I will warm upto this one eventually. images.jpeg

![]() V for Vendetta (2006) In a world in which Great Britain has become a fascist state, a masked vigilante known only as ?V? conducts guerrilla warfare against the oppressive British government. When V rescues a young woman from the secret police, he finds in her an ally with whom he can continue his fight to free the people of Britain. I'd only watched my dvd of this when it initially came out almost twenty years ago and i can now see why. At two and a quarter hours it's far too long. Certainly there are interesting things throughout and a fine cast of mainly British thesps portray the controlling oppressors, not to mention V's visually distinctive mask and appearance but at times it feels a slog getting to the moment we all want to see - The blowing up of the Houses of Parliament on the fifth of November - thankfully when it does take place it's more or less worth the wait. Where i think it fails is in it's depiction of a totalitarian state, unless i missed something it appears there's only V who feels aggrieved by the situation for the most part, but it's main issue was that the film never really thrilled nor engaged me and it certainly never gripped. |

![]() Nighmare IN A Damaged Brain. 1981. George is recently released from a psychiatric hospital and begins to go on a downward spiral of a murder spree. This one I never got on well with considering it was a VHS release and was heavily cut back then and after re-watching I actually enjoyed it a bit more. yeah it does have the cliche of a mental patient being released and then goes on a killing spree. Yeah some bits make no sense then it slowly comes splicing together with some good gory kills. The acting is a bit of a hit and miss at times, but certainly does that good ole sleaze factor i'm sure we all love in a film. Nightmare_FilmPoster.jpg

![]() valley.jpg VALLEY OF THE DRAGONS (1961) 1881, and two men are about to dual. Suddenly a huge storm whips up caused by a passing Comet and the two men are transported to another planet. On this planet they encounter Dinosaur creatures and prehistoric tribes. They find that they are actually on the Moon in another time as they can see the Earth. Enjoyable movie which follows the story of two tribes having to be united together to fight a threat and there is a good scene toward the end where a volcano erupts and the Dinosaurs attack a cave. The movie features many live Lizard scenes taken from other films, among them One Million BC (1940). There is a swim scene, where the camera angles on the female swimming underwater are really near the mark! It's quite a WOW! moment, ha ha. |
