Yes, it is OK to skip Watership Down but it is a classic film. Please at least watch Withnail and the The Godfather though

I have plenty of classics and well loved films i have never seen but I am keeping the list to myself haha.

Bande a Part (1964)

Jean Luc Godard's playful tribute to old Hollywood done in his own style of Gallic cool is a fairly whimsical affair. It's the story of a couple of chancers (Sami Frey and Claude Brasseur) who meet up with the lovely Anna Karina and plan a robbery. Referencing several films from Hollywood, the trio roam Paris plotting the heist through acting out shoot outs in the streets and such like.

In all honesty it does drag a little but that four minute dance sequence in the cafe - The Madison Dance - according to Karina. is simply superb. The best scene in the movie by far, being both mesmeric to watch and cool as f*ck to boot.

There's really nothing wrong with this slice of repulsive German horror cinema. It's beautifully filmed and is brutally graphic albeit with a few plot holes you could drop a body into. However as it ended i decided there must be more to life than watching a seal being gutted as so called entertainment, so i got rid of it today.
I found the first one to be much more disturbing and distasteful

It was Allan Shackleton who acquired 'Slaughter' and made it into 'Snuff'. He was a master manipulator who shot the final scenes, spread the rumour about it being genuine, hired actors to pose as FBI agents who questioned people going to see the film about their involvement in it (although why anyone who sees a film in a cinema would be somehow involved in the making of it is anyone guess), removed all the credits to the film and came up with the classic tag line "the film that could only be made in South America ... where Life is CHEAP!"

Excellent film. Great animation and good voice cast.
I saw it at the cinema on release and have it on DVD.
It's not 'fluffy bunnies' though, it's brutal and sad.

Yeah, but it's not worth the effort of getting to that scene

I've heard it many times that a Documentary on the Snuff release would be better than the film.

Wicked

Funnily enough they forgot to put Part 1 on the posters and trailers however this tells the story of how the Wicked Witch came to be. From when she was born, going to Boarding School and eventually meeting The Wizard. She also encounters being treated differently and a story involving Animals being discriminated against.

I don't know anything about the Musical so I was going in relatively cold regarding knowing what happens and to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Granted it's rather long but that's the course these days.

Bloodsport

I got the Blu-Ray in the Amazon Sale and I watched the Audio Commentary involving a Fan of the film, Sheldon Lettich and the Actor who played Paco. It was informative as they made the point that this was actually a well constructed film as well as pointing out that Chong Li killed his first opponent (I didn't realize at the time because the Officials didn't turn their backs like they did after the Semi-Final) and that there was a scene cut out when Pumula ripped off the nose of his opponent (There was a quick cut).

Still a brilliant movie, definitely one of my all time faves. made me a huge fan of Jean Claude-Van Damme where renting each Film was essential as soon as it was possible (Well up to Maximum Risk) and that the side characters like the Referee, the Cleaner and the Officials were entertaining as well.

Ticks

Teenagers on a Camping Retreat get attacked by giant Ticks and local Cannabis Growers. Nothing really new about this Film, nothing that's never been seen before but the gore was ok (For a Film from 1993) it's one of those Films that if you watch it, you'd probably like it but if you don't see it, then you are not missing out.

As mentioned in another thread, I prefer the VHS Rental Cover.

Dead and buried,

A extremely under rated gem that rarely ever gets mentioned,

One of the better and best horrors from the early 80s

The style and tonne of the film makes this very eerie creepy and atmospheric like the fog. A small coastal town where the locals kill and the dead suddenly reapper as the living again.

The further it goes more bizarre it gets and you eventually think you can guess where it going and the ending, yes to some degree then the very final frame comes with a twist that you didn't see coming.

Totally recommended
