You must be loaded shopping in CEX..They're the most expensive pre-owned dvd sellers I've come across.

Hal, wise choice with Don't Mess With My Sister. Did you know it's done by the bloke who directed I Spit On Your Grave? It's a really fast paced drama about who bloke who marries into a family but starts getting urges to have an affair. It's such a fun film but is a love or hate affair. I once nearly came to punches with a fellow poster who hates it. Let us know how you get on with it.
Will do cloud, I saw the trailer recently and bought it on the back of that, I haven't got round to watching it yet but i'm looking forward to it, looks like a great film. I'm glad you recommended it as most of the reviews I read about it were pretty scathing.

Bizarre

Anthony Balch's series of vignettes on the battle of the sexes. This one really lives up to its title - in fact, I think it invented a genre of its own! Bizarre indeed. Superb disc from Synapse. Highly enjoyable and recommended.

In The Folds Of The Flesh

Talking of bizarre, this is one of the weirdest Gialli I've seen. Can't say it's one of my favourites, but it's pretty much got everything but the kitchen sink thrown in and none of it makes any sense. Excellent disc and pq from Severin.

Bought The Designated Victim today. I honestly didn't expect HMV to have it considering their track record but there was one copy in the World Cinema section.

Hmmm, I couldn't get into BIZARRE, I expected to like it but for some reason found it really tedious. Good DVD and great artwork but poor film I thought, especially considering the director did the brilliant HORROR HOSPITAL.

Latest buys:

VHS:

Mortuary (Hokushin Pre-Cert)
The Killing Of America (Exploited VHS (thanks Hal & Vips for the heads up))
A Stranger Waits
Mask Of Murder
The Last Starfighter
Crash (Cronenberg)

DVD:

Diary Of The Dead (Tin)
The Devonsville Terror/The Boogeyman
[REC]
The Exterminator (thanks vincenzo for the heads up on its uncut status)

Shock Horror Collection (those old cheap and cheerful Dead of Night titles - Birds Of Prey, Mausoleum, Massacre At Central High, Don't Panic, Troll 2, Offerings, Eric's Revenge, Dark Power, Dr. Tarr's Torture Dungeon and Popcorn)*

* I already have 4 of 'em on DVD but for £6 it was too hard to resist.

Home Sweet Home is one of my all time favourite Slasher movies. I think Jake Steinfeld is excellent as the giggling muscleman killer. It was one of the first films I ever saw and was partly responsible for making me such a big fan of horror. The old video cover was a real knockout that I used to hire out loads and now own on tape.

Aerobicide is excellent too!

Last time I saw Aerobicide was in '03. I first bought the Satanica tape in '98 I think. Brilliant cheesy fun with a nice twist at the end. I understand it's still cut in the UK. I remember one killing in particular was very grisly when the model gets her neck slit.

Did you buy the DVD of Home Sweet Home? The DVD artwork is horrendous! But at least the PQ is slightly less worn than that of my VHS.
