Just finished watching Departures on my PS3 lovefilm. It really was a heartwarming and beautiful piece of film making. Would love to now see it on BD.

I rented that some months ago and thought it was brilliant; superbly acted and thoroughly engrossing.

Recently, I've watched the four films in the Blind Dead Collection and they are a little odd, very slowly paced and with some far from convincing acting. However, they are very atmospheric which compensates for the lack of gore. It is very strange how the dead Templars seem to ride their horses in slow motion!

Loved this too! The monsters were exactly like some of my eldest kids Gormiti figures!

I watched 'Kick Ass' for the first time last night and thought it was fantastic - well paced and very funny. First half of the movie, thought it might have been a remake of 'Ichi the Killer' - I'm not too bright sometimes.

Also watched 'Jeepers Creepers' and 'City of the Living Dead' recently. Former is watchable but I don't get movies when the bad guy holds back from slaying the main characters and lays into everyone else without hesitation. Really didn't like 'City of the Living Dead' - had read a little about the political subtext to the movie and it just cheesed me off - seemed preachy and old fashioned.

All this mention of Kick Ass means I'm going to have to watch it again later. I've had the BD Steelbook in my 'to watch' pile since it's release
