Finally got round to watching Orphan the other night. Awesome film. I found it really quite gripping and creepy. The acting was superb too, it really was one of the best modern horrors I've seen.
Kyle likes this.

I feel slightly embarrassed as I've never seen Tron! I've seen it parodied and referenced in so many films and TV shows but haven't watched the film itself.

Me too, never seen it. Not in no rush to though to be honest. Got too many films in the 'to watch' pile yet. I could put it on the Lovefilm rental though I guess, just to see what the fuss is about

Both the DVD and Blu-ray are on my Lovefilm rental list, but the BD is only available to reserve as that's not released until June 27. Hopefully the DVD will come before then so I know whether to keep the Blu-ray on the list or not.

I watched that about a month ago and thoroughly enjoyed it is. It was one of my favourite films when I was younger and I can see why: it has time travel, excellent flight and dogfight sequences plus a brilliant '80s soundtrack. Extremely cheesy, but great fun.

had a bit of a 80s day yesterday by watching these after biggles...

COCOON
BILL AND TED'S BOGUS JOURNEY
BUCKAROO BANZAI
(this film would never get studio funding if it was made today)

I watched The Changeling for the very first time last night.

Very good, but as with most ghostly films i will enjoy it even more the more i watch it.

I bet Mario Bava is turning in his grave due to those bouncing ball scenes.
