I just rewatched Mother Of Tears. Liked it even more than the first time. Still don't get why the naysayers hate it so much, I think it's tremendous fun and looks fantastic.
I agree
I'm a hardcore fan of Argento, got all his films and yes he's made some films which aren't as good as his earlier ones, THE CARD PLAYER and the very disappointing GIALLO, which didn't surprise me when Argento eventually disowned the film
but despite some crazy scenes, MOTHER OF TEARS delivers the Argento trademark gore and is a very good horror

Code Red's DVD of Rituals. This is as good as we are ever going to get to see this almost forgotten and badly treated gem from the 70s. Not a perfect print, but immeasurably superior to previous releases - you can actually see what is going on in the dark scenes!

A fantastic films of harrowing power filled with superb performances and amazing scenery. Can't be recommended enough.

I watched Arrow's Blu Ray of Tenebrae and Shameless' new disc of New York Ripper - didn't know what to make of the print of Tenebrae but the latter looked really good considering that it is about 30 years old and was probably one of the many films which weren't very well cared for over the years due to their subject matter

I've just finished watching Bound again. It's an excellent thriller, with one hot leading actress (Gershon), a well-paced script, and great cinematography. Highly recommended!

The Blu is formidable - PQ and AQ are top-notch.

Greetings!

I should really go and add that to my wishlist now as it is a terrific movie. It's not often you find a neo-Noir lesbian crime thriller, is it?!

No love for Jennifer Tilly?

Very true. It's really a masterpiece. Go get the Blu - it's well worth the price.

To be blunt: she's not my type. I'd prefer Gina. But her acting is great - and she has a very seductive voice. Her whispering could make a block of ice melt.

Greetings!

I watched The Fighter last night, and it was stunning. If there's any (clearly mental) people out there who think Christian Bale or Mark Wahlberg are bad actors, they need to watch this.

I can't find it -- where did you buy it from?

I would be very hard pushed to choose between them, but you're right about her voice.
