I watched the original Rollerball last night for the first time in over twenty years and found out that it held up remarkably. James Cann gives a fantastic performance as Jonathan E and the action sequences put a lot of newer films to shame. My recommendation of the week.

Watched a few films recently with some people - - King Kong Escapes - one of my fav so-bad-they're-good films although the guy I watched it with was totally in awe at its nonsensical stupidity. - Transamerica - Had never seen this film before - not something I'd normally watch and found myself really enjoying it. Touching, thought provoking and very funny too. Excellent movie! - Return Of The Living Dead - Without a doubt, a true classic that just gets better and better with every viewing.

For the past few weeks an Australian Free To Air channel has been playing two Clint Eastwood films back to back every Saturday. Last week it was For A Few Dollars More & High Pains Drifter. Tonight was The Good, The Bad & The Ugly & Coogan's Bluff. Even though I own them all it's still exciting to see your favourites on TV.

Watched Piranah last night. Well if you ignore the at times pathetic CGI, and get past the disappointment of Kelly Brook only being naked for a short time Then this film is good fun Question though: was the CGI as bad in 3d? The swirling water at the begining and the Kelly's underwater swim looked so fake to me. Just checking to see if it was anything to do with 3d |

Easy A - superior teen flick starring the adorable Emma Stone Without Warning - wonderfully silly and utterly enjoyable alien hunter flick mostly shot on location to prevent Jack Palance and Martin Landau chewing up too much scenery |

Saw Skyline last night. I didn't really have any great hopes for it, and it didn't particularly engage me at first, but by around 50 minutes i was really enjoying it. Visually stunning and full of action in its last third. Makes me want to see Battle L.A now. By the way Nos, i have always considered Se7en a horror film. I could tell that from the way every one walked out of the cinema open mouthed. See link as proof. http://www.cult-labs.com/forums/your...lm-1995-a.html |

Been meaning to get Easy A, then forgot about it. Thanks for your inadvertant reminder.
