I am SO disappointed with this film. It felt like Bryan Singer wasn't taking it very seriously - his directing in Days of Future Past was really good but in this one the tone is off and the performances are wooden. The character Apocalypse is generally fairly embarrassing apart from one reasonably creepy bit. It feels really underwritten, and I don't understand why Stryker has Wolverine in this film when at the end of DoFP it was Mystique pretending to be him, unless I dreamt that.
This is Last Stand level as far as I'm concerned, I feel depressed | The trailers I've seen have all looked rather underwhelming. I've been hoping they just weren't very representative of the finished product.
