They are releasing the trilogy boxset in September (new scans) with stand-alone releases of the films undoubtedly to follow (most likely in early 2016). You'll be able to pick Hellbound up in an Arrow sale for around £8-£9 probably this time next year - if you can wait that long.
Thanks BE,seems all the available Hellbound blus are upscales so looking forward to a new hd presentation.
Did Hellraiser also get a new hd transfer?

All three are apparently getting new scans, although it's still in question whether Part III will be the unrated or R rated cut of the film... it seems most DVD versions were the R Rated cut so I guess it depends on whether the unrated version still exists in a decent enough form to create a HD master from. I guess there is always the seamless branching method though.

Afternoon.

2 questions if anyone would be kind enough to assist.

Firstly what is the best available version of Black Christmas to buy? (1974) original.

By best I mean of course PQ & Uncut. I have heard the American/Canada Blu is atrocious quality is that correct?

I know & trust you guys more than anyone else online when it comes to knowing their stuff. So what release of the 1974 version would you suggest to go for?

Secondly I have the arrow Demons/Demons 2 Steelbook & Have since it's release.

Are the Synapse releases worth a double dip? if so is your answer based on transfer or extras or both?

Thanks in advance.

Rick

Anyone know more about this recent UK release?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/American-Wer...ewolf+in+Paris

The new DVD edition comes complete with limited edition art illustrations from World renowned comic artist Clint Langley (Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, 2000AD Slaine, ABC Warriors).

I watched this in the cinema on release and I generally like the film (it's regrettable it was decided to use (early) cgi for some scenes though).

- Spasmo - is it a good Giallo?
- Nail Gun Massacre - is this film a case of "so bad, it's good"?
- A Blade in the Dark - is this flick really as boring as I remember?

Spasmo. Not great but watchable.
Nail Gun Massacre. So bad it's just bad but if you're in the right mood can be a riot.
A Blade in the Dark. Yes.

Nailgun Massacre is text book example of so bad it's good, it's so stupid it's fantastic with some great kills, a hilarious pun making villain, and some truly inept acting and plot. I love it

Spasmo is a personal favourite giallo of mine. By no means conventional and certainly an acquired taste but I really rate it.

Nail Gun Massacre is pretty awful but there is a lot of fun to be had too if you just let yourself go with it.

A Blade in the Dark is a little slow at times and in many ways is a 'poor man's Tenebrae' but I still rather like it all the same - there are a few interesting kills etc.
