Is there a DVD of Return of the Living Dead 2 with the proper soundtrack or are all territories affected? I have the UK one which I know has the 'new soundtrack' on it.

Thanks for the info in advance

As far as I know the French edition of Return Of The Living Dead 2
has the original soundtrack. Try Amazon.Fr, that's where I
purchased mine from

Thanks, I had a look around and it seems only the French dub has the original music cues and sound effects, the English dub even on the French DVD is the new soundtrack. I wonder if this one will ever get an HD re-release - I know it's not the greatest of films but it has nostalgia value for me

It has nostalgia value for me too.
It's zombies, its the 80's and it has some
decent zombie and gore make up
Good enough for me.

What's the difference with the soundtracks? I imagine ROTLD 2 and 3 will get fancy releases sometime, with the first doing so well on Blu.

When it came to licence the movie for DVD the studio couldn't secure the rights for the soundtrack, so they had to use the temp music they'd had recorded for the workprints, apparently it doesn't sound as good, but I can't remember the difference because I was 12 or 13 when I saw this on video.
