Yep, I saw you had the BFI Blu in your collection - how does it look ? I mean I know it's not demo quality but I'm thinking of upgrading my old DVD...

Thanks for checking the list

I've not had a chance to watch the Blu-Ray yet. I've only had the Blu-Ray player for a few days.

Yep, I forgot, lots of good stuff to look forward to so. Yeah, I think it's meant to be a good disc alrite. I gotta say I still find it hard to watch the eyeball slitting scene in Chien Andalou. Jesus, even typing "eyeball slitting" gives me a shiver...

To avoid fainting just keep repeating it's only a movie
...only a movie

As long as you've tried and that particular type of film isn't your cup of tea, but the point of this thread. I can't say I agree with you though!

I thought it was visually spectacular but the story and screenplay were woeful.

I'm going against the grain with this post but.... I might have posted O Brother Where Art Thou here a few weeks ago but I watched it recently after a friend was talking it up, and I must say I thought it was great, life-affirming stuff. Somehow I was underwhelmed when this one first came out but not having seen it in 13 years (wow!) has reversed my mood on this. Evidentially, I must have been a troubled person back in 2000.

Coens are a strange subject for me. Some films I love l, some I hate! Not seen O' Brothet a where Art Thou yet, but I hated Raising Arizona and people praise it like its the funniest film ever made!! I was not amused with it.

Yep, I hated Fargo, although my recent about-face with O Brother Where Art Thou is warning me not to cash my cheques on the Coens just yet...
