"Piranha II: The Flying Killers" pisses all over the Dante film.

Weeeellllll I wasn't gonna say it but you're right of course. It's actually a decent film, I liked it a lot...

Is Piranha a classic.?

I always saw it as trash. Just because it's Cameron doesn't mean its any good.

Dante.

Piranha II is Cameron.

Piranha does often get touted as one of those must see cult horror films though. It's certainly no classic from my perspective.

Apologies. I was reading the posts above. You can tell how much i think its a classic - I don't even know who directed the thing.

I think they're both a load of old shite, and for that reason haven't bothered with the remakes

The remakes are a different kettle of fish (ahem). They are more in the vein of teen comedy films featuring CGI fish. Well, the first one is. I flat out refuse to subject my poor eyes to the second one.

I enjoyed Piranha DD as i posted yesterday. In truth i just don't see much horror in small fish with teeth. not in a film anyway. Perhaps if i was stood in the Amazon i may feel differently.
