wow, what's with all the Saving Private Ryan hate, i love that film, what people do seem to do with this film is not realise that when you take away the brutal realism of the opening your pretty much left with an average men on a mission movie, still love it though.

Yeah,a more interesting ending would have been Captain Miller's hand bursting through the ground.......'They're coming to get you Jimmy Ryan........'

Seriously though SPR is a film I loove to revisit.

I remember well the only time people walked out of a screening I was at - Army of Darkness - a shout of "f*ck this" was heard at the back causing a ripple effect thru the theatre - besides a few hardy souls sticking it out, the whole audience left in disgust...

My love of Evil Dead II has diminished over the years, made worse by the fact when Empire magazine ran their 500 greatest movies of all time in Sept 2010, Evil Dead 1 (which is a masterpiece) figured nowhere on the list despite the presence of Evil Dead II (#49) and Army of Darkness (#372)

'Torso', it's incredibly boring and compared to his previous gialli (although I personally don't consider this to be one) it seems like the work of a different director, completely lacking in style.
