St. George is vastly overrated in my opionion, I blame Fangoria! However when Boy George is good he is very good, if flawed: Martin, The Crazies, Season of the Witch and Day of the Dead are excellent films.

Well, apart from The Crazies.

I don't doubt their places in the evolution of the horror film and it's history but I find his schoolboy liberal politics patronising, his direction fairly dull and on the whole I would prefer to watch back to back showings of The Transformer films than sit through another one of his zombie epics. Again however when he goes small scale with films like Martin, Season of the Witch and The Crazies I think he breaks out of genre cinema and holds his own with more "serious" directors within the same time setting.

Might as well get this out of the way now...Stuart Gordon is wank and should be forced to go from home to home apologising to everyone who has ever had to watch one of his films!

As I've said before, I think Romero's best film by a country mile is Knightriders.

Interesting choice, I didn't like it as a cinematic experience but liked it in a conceptual way and again it shows what an interesting director lurks behind Romero's more well known work.
