Spielbergs last really good films were The Terminal, Catch me if you Can and Minority Report.

And I'll agree with those defending Jean Rollin, in fact they should make films these days which have paper thin plots and rely solely on atmospherics. Better than the soulless, narrative-driven rubbish churned out by hollywood, etc, in the 21st century.

Agreed. Also, Night Train Murders and The Last House on the Beach employ the premise so much more effectively.
