Greetings!
Cagney made some excellent crime films.

As has Doris Day - Calamity Jane, Send me no Flowers, That Touch of Mink, and Midnight Lace to name but four off the top of my head.

The Shining is a awesome film. There's nothing wrong with the acting. On this ocassion Stephen King wasn't the best judge of his work considering the shining series he later made.

I don't see some films as classics just because because Mark Kermode tells me there great and I hate it when film students rant about how great Rio Bravo is because Tarantino said it was his favorite film, or shout about how they wanted to become film makers after seeing casablanca.

...you want a classic film thats good, then watch BAY OF BLOOD.

FACT

I thought BAY OF BLOOD was a bit rubbish myself

I did like THE SHINING though, have done since childhood. Probably hasn't dated quite as well as it should have though. This reminds me of Jack at the end:

Rio Bravo is one of the greatest films ever made. That's a fact right there, and not because ol' Quentin says so.

Casablanca is the greatest film of all time.

Rio Bravo is probably the greatest American western of all time, well that or the Searchers.

Not really good examples to use Ricky.
