Is it a good film?

I have it pre-ordered, should be on it's way to me this very minute...or at least when the post decides that the holiday's over.

I thought it was excellent,of course its not a spy film in the Bond sense more like Tinker Tailor, but the the two leads and the story are very compelling.

Oh dear! i knew it wasn't like Bond, but hoped it would be better than the extremely dull Tinker Tailor...Scorpio perhaps? That would be good.

Tinker the film was abit dull, but Hanks gives a great performance in Bridge of Spies.

I was just being optimistic as Scorpio is one of the more action packed Cold War thrillers.

I do like that style of film making. I went through a phase three years ago where i think i picked up the majority of Cold War thrillers on dvd...even the godawful Midnight in St. Petersburg.

I was surprised to see the Coen Bros hand a hand in writing the screenplay, especially as there is no John Goodman or George Clooney in the film gurning like idiots the way usually do in a Coen movie.

Default Lake Placid (1999)

Lake Placid (1999)

Sheriff Hank Keough: Ma'am, your husband Bernie, you didn't by any chance lead him to the lake blindfolded?

Mrs. Bickerman: If I had a dick, this is where I'd tell you to suck it!

Mrs. Bickerman: Murders and rapes in the city, people bomb planes, can the police stop 'em? No! But feed one little cow to a crocodile...

Sheriff Hank Keough: You're gonna stay right here until the police show. You're under full house arrest.

Mrs. Bickerman: Thank you, officer f**k-meat!
