What did you think of this? I had the Alpha version with that artwork as it's cover and then upgraded to the recent Retromedia release. It has some lovely Gothic sequences especially in long shot of the girls walk past the castle. |

Last night's film involved Vincent Price, Hilary Dwyer, witch trials and torture. I do of course mean Cry of the Banshee (1970). An enjoyable, sleazy romp that often follows the same theme as the superior Witchfinder General but is nowhere near as good. Always a decent watch all the same. |

John Lithgow takes the Shatner role as the aerophobic passenger who's the only person to see a flying creature ripping parts off the plane he's travelling in. There's some great Craig Reardon creature FX in this segment too.
