does premutos fall under this cat?
if so i think it was o.k,but needed better actors!not too bothered about story or actors but in this film the acting was a bit dire!
loved the barb wire scene! very cool!

yes Premutos would fall in this category, the thing about the actors really is that the vast majority of German gore/splatter films is that they are so amateurish which is what makes them appealing.

but some of them are starting to get bigger budgets

Which, in my opinion is the worst you can do. Olaf Ittenbach for instance handcrafed every single of his effects and his old works are in a way masterpieces. Sure the acting's terrible, story sometimes non-existant but the effects are some of the best you'll ever get.

Andreas Schnaas on the other hand ... well, I can't recall finishing one of his movies without wanting to poke my eyes out. "Nikos, the Impaler" being one of the ... if not the ... worst movie(s) I have ever seen in my life.

About Zombie 90: The German DVD company HDMV is going to release a new version called Zombie 09 which basically features a new dub. I got to hear a few excerpts and its really funny, so in case you at least understand German, this could be interesting for you.
