Oh that one! I googled it but nothing came up (except your post) since it's spelled Eroticofollia. ![]() That's probably my favorite "giallo fantastico",I still feel the ending is rather weird though as the movie suddenly grinds to a halt (could there exist a longer/more complete version?). |

I knew I spelt it wrong but I couldn't be bothered going back and changing it ![]() I think there could be a longer version out there somewhere, the ending is very abrupt. |

Maybe of interest... ![]() Mikel Koven has this to say in his book La Dolce Morte on the giallo filone (free translation:movement): "There are several different kinds of gialli....While the classical giallo features a serial killer clad in black gloves, hat, and overcoat being hunted by an amateur detective, the poliziotto puts the police investigation front and center in the investigation. Other gialli tend to focus on more private and interior settings, creating more of a suspense giallo. Still others, embracing the strong connection between the giallo and the horror film, offer a more supernatural narative, the giallo-fantastico. What we mean by giallo, then is quite a broad spectrum of films, despite their formulaic narratives." So: Classical giallo (Blood and Black Lace,The Bird with the Chrystal Plumage,Who Saw Her Die?...) Poliziotto giallo (Black Belly of the Tarantula,Death Occurred last Night,So Sweet,So Dead...) Suspense giallo (The Sweet Body of Deborah,Orgasmo,Perversion Story...) Giallo-fantastico (Suspiria,Inferno,Malocchio...) |

Seems there's no longer a gialli thread (or am I getting confused?). I mean Elektrocity's is just for releases they get in. So I decided to make one. ![]() Let's talk gialli people! ![]() |

Hmm,it's a bit strange that it's in "polls" BE,well there's also a poll attached I guess... ![]() Maybe Reaps could combine the two as that one seems to have died? Not really surprised really as there's only 8 choices for "best giallo"... ![]() I'm moving this here now... And once I didn't even know the genre existed! ![]() I also like to watch gialli several times (over time) as there's always more to discover. It's also a genre you have to grow into it seems. Like I watched Autopsy (with Farmer) years ago before I even knew about gialli and didn't like it. I now recently watched it again and loved it. |
