Yes ,but the production is Italian so I prefer the Italian audio, even though it looks and it is a dub

If the cast of the film is either mostly English/American or English speaking, I always prefer the English dub but, if it is an international cast with someone speaking English to someone replying in Italian, I go with the Italian dub (if there is one). It seems to make more sense and fits with the synchronisation and tone of whichever giallo I'm watching – Deep Red isn't the same with David Hemmings dubbed in Italian!

I always try to watch a film in its original language, which seems to sometimes be hard to figure out with gialli. But as rule of thumb, I just try to watch the best dubbing. With the often international cast, there's always someone dubbed anyway. English dubbing usually sucks, so unless it's an all-american cast I go with the Italian dubbing which is usually so much better. I don't know why americans don't know how to dub. At least it makes for fun Kung Fu film experiences. I even watched a giallo in Spanish for some reason and the dubbing was pretty good.

What is your favorite gialli from the 70s? The 70s is regarded as the best decade for this genre, right? Anyway, if you want gialli well represented in the forums best horror films of the 70s you should vote for it here - http://www.cult-labs.com/forums/horr...-70s-poll.html [/shameless plug] |
