Yeah in the case of films that are extremely "difficult" and that are likely to require many cuts if not a rejection they often have to watch the film several times before deciding on what course of action to take. I think this film would probably be with them for some time, mainly because of the length.

By the way Hal I have Mordum to watch next

Going back to Philoshophy - I think it's unlikely that any of the torture scenes involving men would be cut as disturbing as some of them are. It would be mainly the sexualised violence against women that would be cut. Still that would be a fair amount of cuts. The effects are remarkably realistic I have to say.

I'm with Philleh here, the only films i have watched that have ever made me feel sick, physically and mentally have been some of the roughies from the 70's, specifically "Forced Entry" and "Waterpower", for some reason "Sex Wsh" didn't and i can't explain why, but i remember watching "Forced Entry" and the rape at knifepoint/murder scene made me feel morally unclean, does this count as a "horror", i don't know, but without a doubt more disturbing than anything else i've seen by far, including any mondo/death film or anything else mentioned in this thread.

Is that Forced Entry the one with Nancy Allen, Goatboy?

I saw it recently for the first time uncut and it surprisingly seemed quite tame to me. And I'm quite easily shockable.
I see no reason why it should be cut today having previously been rejected.

No, that is the Jim Sotos 'Remake' (for want of a better description) with Tanya Roberts, i am talking about the Shaun Costello roughie with Harry Reams:

I think its the merging of hardcore porn with rape at knifepoint and then murder that is so disturbing. It wouldn't even be classified R18 today, for the reason mentioned above.

Good luck with Mordum Angel. If you thought August Underground was bad you haven't seen anything yet. It takes sexual degradation and torture to new extremes, let me know your thoughts on it after you've seen it, I'd be interested to hear them. That's one film I reckon would get a straight rejection, you know more about it than me though so I'd be interested to know if you agree or not.

I have to agree with Goat and say that the original Forced Entry is a vile piece of work that would'nt get an R18 today, even though the murder looks not that real.

For an even viler 70's roughie try Born to be Wild.
The description for that is beyond beleif. I wouldn't even begin to describe it.
But as vile as it is , all actors are willing being severly abused for cash reward.

Never seen "Born to Raise Hell",

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0211972/

(I think thats the one you mean vipco unless its something else) the gay S&M scene just isn't by thang, but i remember reading about it somewhere, possible in "Killing for culture", it is meant to have some ermmm jaw dropping imagery (if that term can apply to extreme gay bondage and anal fisting), ahem, the less said the better, but marginally along the same lines, someone is selling Richard Kerns short films on e-bay which might be worth a look for ermmmm anyone into 'transgressive' cinema.

Thanks. Haven't seen the film but it does sound remarkably similar to Sex Wish, a film I have seen.

The knife point rape would have more chance of passing in an 18 then an R18.

Definetly not my scene GB. I hate all porn.

I read about it in KFC and the thought of a studded thing on a drill well sounds pretty sick to me and as we were talking about Forced entry ........

Im not in to Kearns ( Death Tripping ? ) or Trangression film. . As a happily married man I find it to weird.

I dont even like to much nudity in film let alone porn.

What actually are films of Trangression.?
They crop up in some snuff related stuff i've read , but names like R Kearns , JP Orrige and Lydia Lunch mean nothing to me.
